Decent deal but the same thing is $100 at home depot... Not $150 as woot would like you to believe.
All the comments are true about the great usefulness of this tool. But the price is too high. Not worth $80. Wait for the 50% battery bundle deal.
No. The brushless version is model P25013BTL

Very interesting considering these dont require bar oil.

Or at the very lease doesn't have a self oiling reservoir for bar oil.

Having to clean the bar oil and drain it for a quick use usually will stop me from using the smaller m12 saw i have if its just a few cuts lol. Break out the Reciprocal saw or the dewalt pruners if the branches are small enough.

Probably doesn't produce enough heat to require oil. The battery is small, so it isn't meant to be left on long. And it's probably not that strong.

This is a great little tool to have around. I got one 6 months ago and use it often for small to medium cuts. Like branches no bigger than 4" diameter. Be aware the chain speed is quite slow. So larger cuts take more time than a real chainsaw.

I've been super happy with one of these and I've been surprised at how much I've been able to cut with it. My only hesitation is the last time I looked I couldn't find an exact replacement chain (with the same number and size of teeth). It was a weird combination. The fact that the chain physically exists means they must be available somewhere.

Edit: looks like I have the brushless version. I remember paying a similar price a few months ago in a Home Depot deal. I wonder how this one compares.

All the comments are true about the great usefulness of this tool. But the price is too high. Not worth $80. Wait for the 50% battery bundle deal.

I've got the brushless model and it cuts through cabbage palms fronds like butter. Live oak branches not so much.

Agree. I picked up the brushless version in Nov when they had with the battery bundle for $99. Canceled the batteries which made the saw $35-40. It's a very useful little saw to have around - great tool. I use to prune peach trees and cleaning up limbs when I take them down.

Better deals to be had during Ryobi days, but that's still months away.

I keep a small tip condiment bottle filled with bar oil and oil the bar/chain when in use. These replacement chains were difficult to find few years ago; hence I manually oiled to prolong bar/chain life.
